Airport conveyor systems handle baggage from check-in through sorting to reclaim on arrival. They cover the departure area with conveyors at check-in counters, collection and belt conveyors and sorting systems, as well as the arrivals area with loading, belt and carousel conveyors. The goal is smooth terminal operation, faster baggage handling and the lowest possible level of delays.
Baggage sorting directs each bag from check-in to the correct departure conveyor or to X-ray screening. LOGSYS uses sorting elements such as a verti-sorter, diverter arm and reversing switch, which automatically divert baggage according to its destination. These are followed by belt, roller and carousel take-away conveyors. The specific combination of sorting elements depends on the required capacity and terminal layout. For departures, we supply conveyors at check-in counters with weighing and measuring, collecting belt conveyors with software windows, standard belt conveyors, sorting systems and belt, roller and carousel take-away conveyors. For arrivals, we supply belt and roller loading conveyors as well as belt and carousel conveyors for passenger baggage reclaim. We adapt the entire range of conveyors to the operation of the specific terminal.
